Welcome to the OnTracks Hmrs shop

HMRS - the Historical Model Railway Society produce a range of exquisitely printed locomotive, coach and wagon transfers. These are mainly drawn from the Big Four - LMS, LNER, SR and GWR - there are a few Pre-grouping examples, notably Lancs and Yorks, London and North Western and a toe hold into the blue/grey, British Rail ?corporate image era.
These transfers come with two application methods - Pressfix is ?self sticking?, Methfix is more like a waterslide transfer and therefore very easy to accurately locate on the model but with a significant difference. Methfix does not need the ?carrier? found with waterslide transfers. When the transfer has been floated into position - and the absence of the carrier means it can be positioned in otherwise awkward places such as hard up against a raised edge - the transfer is ?fixed? with a mixture methylated spirit and water. The finished effect is as if the transfer had been painted or printed straight onto the model.
Not only are these transfers totally accurate, they are also very attractive in their own right - the Pullman insignia and lining, PX31P and PX32P are typical and could tempt a modeller into building a Pullman Car simply as an excuse to use the transfers!
