| Authorised Service Centre Here at OnTracks we have a factory trained repair department. Each technician is able to assess and repair most items produced since 2000 by the Hornby group. |
Out of Warranty Assesment and repair serivce We levy a £3 charge to assess all Hornby, Hornby International & Scalextric items. We can only repair items which are of recent production - those marked 'Made in China'. |
| Spares Supply We can supply spares for models made in China since 2000. For older models we recommend you contact one of the specialist spares retailers such as East Kent Models on 01227 770777. |
| Warranty Repairs All Hornby and Scalextric models come with a manufacturers 6 month warranty. This is in addition to your statutory rights. The warranty covers mechanical failure and covers parts and labour costs of repairing the model. Some parts are not covered by this warranty - wear and tear, accidental damage, parts which are designed to wear out as part of their function - e.g. Motor Brushes, please consult your original Warranty paperwork for full information. We happily undertake warranty repairs regardless of where you purchased your model. To apply for a warranty repair you should provide your receipt of purchase. For items purchased from OnTracks as an alternative you can tell us your order number or name and address of original purchaser. |
| Out of warranty repairs Items older than 6 months fall outside the warranty period. We happily undertake repairs of models purchased from any retailer. Please note we can't repair items produced under the 'Rovex', 'Triang', 'Hornby Minitrix' or 'Triang Hornby' brands, n sumamry any items marked as Made in England - they are just too old for parts to still be available direct from the Hornby Group. We also do not repair Clockwork or O gauge items. A repair charge of £36 plus VAT per hour, minimum charge 20 minutes. Plus the cost of any parts used. |
| Sending and return of items to us Please print and fill out this Instruction Form You can deliver items for repair to our showroom, or post them to us at: OnTracks.co.uk Unit 1, Pontrilas Business Park, Pontrilas Herefordshire HR2 0AZ All items should be in suitable packaging - preferably the original packaging. You are responsible for any postal costs when sending the item to us, and if you wish us to post the model back to you an Insured Postage Charge of £6.99 will be made. |
Turnaround Time We aim to undertake all repairs within 31 days of receiving your model. We carry a range of the most frequently used spare parts in stock. Unusual spares are ordered from the National Service Centre, and might delay a repair. Please note during peak sales periods - November to end Jan our turn around times may be extended. |
