About OnTracks

Tim & Fiona started OnTracks following the frustrations Fiona experienced when trying to buy a Christmas present for Tim. Visiting a dusty and small model shop, she was treated with condensation by the owner, talked down to and made to feel an unwelcome woman.

Discussion over that Christmas period - 1998 - made them realise that the Internet and a website would be a way of making the whole experience better. The business and approach was formulated on three principles:

• To Inform - give people access to a wide range of model and hobby products.
• To Educate - no matter what level of knowledge or background interest the site would make a person welcome and support them through a selection and buying process. 
• To support - to give information about products and their use beyond the product specification, and give guidance on how to get the best from the purchase.

Overall Tim & Fiona delivered that vision to over a quarter of a million visitors to the website each year. Sending products to 71 countries during the 15 years, and on the way winning countless awards.

We sold the Ontracks retail business in 2014 to investrors, continuing to run the Import and Distribution of Model products until 2022 when that side of the company wa also sold.

Fiona now enjoyes a more relaxing life working with her Horses and Tim keeps himself busy working with other leading Toy companies.
